The Detroit Free Press, in their coverage of allegations involving illegal grade fixing, sought out the opinion of Sue Ellen Eisenberg who’s opinion on the case was quoted in part; “Changing a student’s grade without consulting a teacher is falsification of school records, said Sue Ellen Eisenberg, a Bloomfield Hills attorney who specializes in labor lawsuits. ”Changing a grade without going through the normal process would constitute an act of misconduct that would justify termination,” she said.
